The Honorable

Municipal Court

Judge Collis Johnson was raised in Carlsbad, where she attended school from elementary through high school, and later earned my associate degree from New Mexico State University-Carlsbad. Her career with the Carlsbad Municipal Court spans 37 years, during which she served in every capacity, including court administrator and alternate judge.

In addition to her judicial duties, she is an active member of the New Mexico Municipal Judges Association and the National Judges Association. As a municipal court judge, her primary focus remains on improving mental health services and rehabilitation facilities within the legal framework for our community members.
