In March 2026, NMJC joined Court of Appeals judges for a final dress rehearsal at the NM Court of Appeals for the BLSA Thurgood Marshall National Moot Court National Competition. UNM BLSA Law Students who had won a best brief award at the regional level, had one last practice round in New Mexico before heading off to compete at the national competition.

In April 2026, NMBJC collaborated with the Albuquerque Links, Inc. for the Links G.I.R.L.S. Program - International Trends and Services (ITS) Facet Workshop "Laws of the World." The judges taught middle and high school girls about unique laws here in the United States as well as around the world at the NM Court of Appeals, For example, did you know it's illegal to have gum in Singapore? Or did you know we have multiple tribal courts here in NM and across the United States?

In May 2026, NMBJC collaborated with Chopping It Up at the Barbershop, where Black men of all ages had an opportunity to talk with Black judges from around the state of New Mexico about court, being a lawyer, and what steps are needed to become a lawyer.
